Comfortable Ride, some parts are pricey...
by pigsareus | on 7/28/2021 5:05:28 PM
reliable, sturdy, roomy ride, with the back seats down you can fit a lot back there, even cart a 12' kayak (nose between the front seats), with just a bit of the tail end of it sticking out. Powerful engine, basic interior styling. One thing to be aware of is that since this model was only made for a few years replacement body and interior parts can be pricier than you think. If you want to swap out the front headlamp assemblies for a new pair be prepared to pay well over $500 as many aftermarket parts manufacturers didn't find it cost benefitical to fabricate certain parts like this as there really weren't that many of these made. Not great MPG - 12 in the city - but that's to be expected with the large engine and weight. Handles great, very comfortable ride, stable, does not 'lean' on quick curves. Vehicle retailed for over $50K when new, which kind of kept down sales as the Navigator wasn't that much more. Exterior styling is good, it fits in with current large SUVs. If you can find one that runs well (pay particular attention to the transmission - if you check enough reviews you'll find that the trans can be problematic and is pricey (3000+) to rebuild. But, if all is good you can't go wrong for the going price of these which is usually 4K or less.…
